Upon invitation of Porntiva Nakasai, Minister of Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, Xie Xianfeng, General Manager of Sinochem Qingdao, attended the awarding ceremony of Thailand’s Best Friends 2011 held in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 23rd, 2011, on behalf of Sinochem Qingdao. Thai Prime Minister Abhisit attended the ceremony, made a speech and presented the award for Sinochem Qingdao.

Thailand’s Best Friends is an award issued by the Thai government to commend the enterprises that have made active contributions to economic and trade development of Thailand. Sinochem Qingdao has been committed to import of Thai farm products such as cassava into China over the years; in particular, Sinochem Qingdao has made its market shares head the list among Chinese traders when it comes to Thai cassava import business (with cassava being one of the most important farm products in Thailand and the raw material for production of alcohol and citric acid), and maintained a sound cooperation and exchange relationship with related industry of Thailand.
