Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd. (“Sinochem Holdings”) was inaugurated on May 8. In the afternoon, the company held a briefing at Chemsunny World Trade Center in Beijing to introduce the new company and speak with reporters on topics of media interest. Journalists from 20 media outlets, including the People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China Media Group, Guangming Daily, the Economic Daily, and China Daily, attended the press conference. Frank Ning, Chairman of Sinochem Holdings and Secretary of the Party Group, and members of the company’s leadership debuted at the event, which was chaired by Mr. Li Fanrong, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd.

During the briefing, Frank Ning said that Sinochem Holdings, as the start of a new company, will communicate with the new media and the public in a transparent, proactive, and timely manner. As a chemical corporation, Sinochem Holdings shoulders many social responsibilities. Hopefully, the briefing could showcase the outside a better and clearer picture of the company’s image and development. In his statement, Frank Ning said that the merger of Sinochem Group Co., Ltd. and China National Chemical Corporation Ltd. was in response to social and market requirements, as well as the needs of the companies’ development and internationalization. The restructuring not only required physical integration but, more importantly, “chemical fusion” to give birth to a genuinely new company. The new company still has a long way to go, but its strategic goals for future development are clear. Frank Ning also deciphered the logo of blue peony.

During the Q&A session, Frank Ning and Mr. Li took questions from the journalists, having candid conversations regarding topics of media interest, including the new company’s strategic positioning, strengths and challenges, key areas in the next stage of integration, new appointments, deepening of reforms, reaching peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality, sustainable development, technological innovation, industry impact, and internationalization.
