A delegation led by Lise Nordgaard, Consul General of Norway in Shanghai, visited Elkem Silicones Xinghuo in east China's Jiangxi Province, on April 23.

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the development of China-Norway relations, the support of the Norwegian government and Elkem for Elkem Silicones Xinghuo, and the work related to Elkem Silicones Xinghuo's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance and safety compliance.

The delegation visited Elkem Silicones Xinghuo's sci-tech innovation park, training base, workshop, and smart production lines, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company's pursuit of technological innovation, assurance of water quality standards, quality improvement, and international development.

Nordgaard praised Elkem Silicones Xinghuo's commitment to green and safe production, open attitude toward international cooperation, and dedication to R&D and product quality.

She also commended the company's production culture, environmentally-friendly garden factory, and breakthroughs in cutting-edge technologies like smart factory construction.

Nordgaard expressed that Consulate General of Norway in Shanghai will continue to support Elkem Silicones Shanghai's work and help the company maintain its leading position in the global organic silicone industry.
